We made a deliberate choice when assembling the RH Sales Hunters teaching team: no full-time academics. Every person who stands at the front of our Madrid training floor is an active barber — someone who dealt with a difficult skin-fade request at 4pm yesterday and will demonstrate the corrective technique to students at 9am today. That proximity between real work and instruction removes the lag that plagues traditional trade schools, where curricula stagnate because instructors left the shop floor years ago.
Our instructors rotate in blocks of four to six weeks, which keeps the energy fresh and exposes students to multiple working styles. Minimum Chair Experience
Every candidate must demonstrate at least seven years of continuous professional barbering. We verify employment history and request client references — because a portfolio of good photographs does not always equate to consistent, day-in-day-out technical quality.

Teaching Audition
Candidates deliver a 45-minute mock lesson to a panel of existing instructors and recent graduates. We evaluate clarity of explanation, patience under questioning, ability to adapt language to beginners, and whether they demonstrate before expecting replication — a non-negotiable in our teaching methodology.

Active-Industry Requirement
Instructors must hold a current barbershop position during their time with us. This is reviewed every six months. The moment someone steps away from client-facing work full-time, their rotation with RH Sales Hunters pauses. It is a strict rule, but it guarantees every technique taught in our Madrid centre reflects what is actually happening in the market right now.
